Brief Bio of Rev. Murray
Comber
Murray
pastored for 23 years in several locations throughout Ontario. In
1992 he sensed that there was something new on the horizon. Though
the field of Ministry remained dominant, it was obvious that life
would take a new direction. After much soul searching, Murray decided
to build on his counselling abilities. He returned to college and
is a graduate of one of the most recognized Career and Work Counselling
courses in Eastern Canada at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario.
As a result, he has become a qualified "Career Consultant/Corporate
Trainer" having acquired skills and abilities useful to any
pastor/counsellor.
Besides
adding to the counselling abilities, he has acquired his "Level
B Assessment" classification. This, along with some specific
courses enables him to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator®
(MBTI®), several Skills and Interest Inventories (SII®,
CSII®, JVIS®), the Canadian Adult Achievement Test®
(CAAT®) and several other similar assessments. He also acquired
his Master B Class Certificate in Constructivist Counselling. Murray
has been qualified and gained much experiencing using True Colors®
Personality/Temperament Profile in a variety of settings. It is
a major part of his Workshop development.
Though
Murray's office of operation has changed, his heart to "help
people" in practical ways in key areas of life remains the
same. What he has personally experienced during times of change
and transition makes his ministry more than a theory, but something
that has been a living reality.
He
is married to Heather and they have two children; Justin attends
Masters' College and Seminary, and Allyssa is in Grade 11.
